The purpose of this project is to investigate the dyes which come from Western Australian plants on natural fibres such as silk, wool, and cotton. With the direct use of the earth and its minerals which also have a dye content I aim to create a beautiful portfolio of artworks for an exhibition. The works will express the mystery and power on the earth in a colourful and sculptural way. The exhibition will primarily focus on my developmental and contemporary work.

In addition a collaborative work will be developed combining the contributions of ~100 West Australians who share the same objectives whilst coming from different geographical areas, nationalities, religions, ages, and circumstances. Through the art process, many obstacles between people can be overcome and connections made. Through this website and the exhibition the audiences can share the same process.

This process will be documented in order to provide a database of the colours achieve through the creative process.

A collection of the works from the exhibition can be viewed via the link below. (Adobe Reader required)
